Abstract

In this paper the numerical validation of an innovative printed reflectarray is presented. The reflecting structure uses a novel kind of enhanced bandwidth re-radiating element, suitable to be optimized by an evolutionary optimization tool. In order to validate the basic concepts and the design procedure of this planar reflector, its analysis with a full-wave software has been performed: the good agreement between the numerical results obtained with the two approaches proves the feasibility of the proposed configuration.
