Abstract

Diamond based pixeldetectors are a promising radiation-hard technology for use at the LHC. We present first results on a CMS diamondpixel sensor. With a threshold setting of 2000 electrons, an average pixel efficiency of 78% was obtained for normally incident minimum ionizing particles.
