Environmental problems constitute the new challenge for the last decade of this century for the process industry as well as for the whole mankind. As it often happened in the past, when a sharp modification of the technological frame was pushed on by new critical problems, rapidly growing up, a careful and profound rethinking of both methods adopted and solutions given is needed, looking for more refined equilibria between contrasting effects. That's the case of post-combustion chambers prescribed by the law aiming at a safer level of thermal destruction of organic pollutants. There is both space and opportunity for a revision of designing criteria looking for a better heat recovery or, equivalently, to reduce fuel consumption, without complicating too much the chamber architecture. This paper wishes to describe the solution we propose.
