Abstract

Nowadays the availability of powerful computing resources, that facilitate the numerical solution of complex electromagnetic problems, make rare the use of analyticalapproaches: nevertheless, the synthesis features of these methods show again very interesting advantages for the electromagnetic devices design and modelling. The paper describes the development of analytical formulations for the improved evaluation of fluxes and forces at the air-gap between ferromagnetic structures: the results of these expressions, obtained by new manipulations of some solutions of conformal transformations, are compared with those of FEM numerical simulations.
