A wide literature has dealt with the effect of corrosion and the related bond strength deterioration (Fib, 2010). The application of the results to real structural situation is rather scanty. Many studies have analysed the effects in reinforced/prestressed concrete beams tested in the lab (Coronelli and Gambarova, 2004, Coronelli et al. 2009). Relevant analyses were developed in the Repair program of the Midland Links Highways in the UK (Sarveswaran et al., 2000) based on laboratory test results by Regan and Kennedy Reid (2009). The paper outlines a set of real cases, based on assessment studies and surveys, and proposes a range of more possible troublesome scenarios – indicating solutions for the analysis. The approach adopted here is that of a qualitative description of structural cases and methods, with reference given to more detailed documentation.

Abstract
The approach adopted here is that of a qualitative description of structural cases and methods, with reference given to more detailed documentation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
