This book consists of two main parts: part I (Chapters 2 to 4) covers components of solar-assisted air-conditioning systems and part II the entire systems (Chapters 5 to 8). In chapter 3 the main types of technology to transform heat into cold are described, i.e., thermally driven chillers and desiccant cycles. Standard components such as vapour compression chillers and cooling towers are also addressed briefly, since they may play an important role in solar-assisted air-conditioning either as part of the system or as a reference to which a solar driven system has to be compared.

Abstract
This book consists of two main parts: part I (Chapters 2 to 4) covers components of solar-assisted air-conditioning systems and part II the entire systems (Chapters 5 to 8). In chapter 3 the main types of technology to transform heat into cold are described, i.e., thermally driven chillers and desiccant cycles. Standard components such as vapour compression chillers and cooling towers are also addressed briefly, since they may play an important role in solar-assisted air-conditioning either as part of the system or as a reference to which a solar driven system has to be compared.File in questo prodotto:
