The publication focuses on the notion of a "mutual contemporary heritage": the term "contemporary" does not only refer to the era of building construction (based on the Mediterranean area in the middle of the 20th century), it also refers to the more or less recent constructions that are characterized by a certain inherited contemporaneity, or by the recent recognition of such value. The theme of contemporary intervention on the heritage is addressed by referring to the current and unavoidable cultural debate relating to sustainable development and by questioning the role it could have on the built heritage, which is a resource that needs to be protected and valued.

Abstract
The publication focuses on the notion of a "mutual contemporary heritage": the term "contemporary" does not only refer to the era of building construction (based on the Mediterranean area in the middle of the 20th century), it also refers to the more or less recent constructions that are characterized by a certain inherited contemporaneity, or by the recent recognition of such value. The theme of contemporary intervention on the heritage is addressed by referring to the current and unavoidable cultural debate relating to sustainable development and by questioning the role it could have on the built heritage, which is a resource that needs to be protected and valued.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
