This volume presents the results of the Eucaland Project, a multidisciplinary research programme. European agricultural landscapes are under unprecedented pressure from new development, agricultural practices, urbanisation and the enlargement of the European Union. The research consider how European agricultural landscapes are the expression of a common cultural heritage, and suggests how this heritage can be transmitted to the future.
