Abstract
Technological evolution has given us the tools that are able to "represent". Softwares that can effortlessly create and manage complex surfaces are part of any architect and designer tools. And 'become essential to develop a mature understanding and consciousness geometric approach to these new devices, in particular the recent vector drawing programs that offer new possibilities for the graphic management of architectural designs. Digital representation models, transforms, deforms, sculpts surfaces giving a new shape to the objects only apparently free from geometric requirements. The geometric control of virtual space requires a trial process to test and benchmark geometric issues of computer programs and digital tools; exercises from descriptive geometry science are cases that can be still faced and solved within the framework of virtual space through the existing methods. The research shows that through the geometrical knowledge of the fundamentals of the discipline it is possible to develop new tools useful to match geometric issues for designers who work in a virtual environment. The question we are facing is about the communication of case studies which has to be necessarily different from the traditional one. An interface designed for interactive multimedia remote learning allows to improve skills between users. The experiment was conducted as a set of exercises that have taken from those descriptive geometry workouts presented in the book by Frère Gabriel-Marie.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
