The essay explores the reasons of the "disturbing space” of Brasilia, its scale and its social character. The hypothesis is that its formative principle is the result of the experiments made during the Constructivist period, from Le Corbusier's reflections on Latin America and from the introduction of the concept of landscape. The geographical, topographical, morphological and climatic conditions thus become the paradigms that help us to understand the meaning of the vacuum drawn by the nature of the savannah.

Abstract
The essay explores the reasons of the "disturbing space” of Brasilia, its scale and its social character. The hypothesis is that its formative principle is the result of the experiments made during the Constructivist period, from Le Corbusier's reflections on Latin America and from the introduction of the concept of landscape. The geographical, topographical, morphological and climatic conditions thus become the paradigms that help us to understand the meaning of the vacuum drawn by the nature of the savannah.File in questo prodotto:
