The paper presents the most relevant results of the experimental modal analysis of the historic iron bridge at Paderno d’Adda (1889). The dynamic tests, representing the first experimental survey carried out on the global characteristics of the bridge since the load reception tests in 1889 and 1892, were performed in operational conditions (i.e. under traffic and wind-induced excitation) between June 2009 and March 2010 and suggested the opportunity of installing a permanent dynamic monitoring system on the bridge with Structural Health Monitoring purposes.

Abstract
The paper presents the most relevant results of the experimental modal analysis of the historic iron bridge at Paderno d’Adda (1889). The dynamic tests, representing the first experimental survey carried out on the global characteristics of the bridge since the load reception tests in 1889 and 1892, were performed in operational conditions (i.e. under traffic and wind-induced excitation) between June 2009 and March 2010 and suggested the opportunity of installing a permanent dynamic monitoring system on the bridge with Structural Health Monitoring purposes.File in questo prodotto:
