To see to the design and the act of buiding like protagonists of the built environment can take more care from who have the responsability to modify the territory. The territory is the deposit for the efforts of past generations and it's a privileged place to witness its values. It holds the traces of the action of man, it's the most evident materialization of a culture, and, as such, becomes an active part in the creation of a culture. The paper, trought some insights of A. Riegl and M. Halwbachs and also trought some works and words of the contrast architect Le Corbusier, research how the memory can become the founding element of the project planning and trie to demonstrate the strongness of the design and the act of build to the unveiling of the context and is culture.

Abstract
