The aim of this paper is to analyze Supply Chain coordination in the high-end segment of Italian fashion apparel industry. More in detail, the relations between brand owning companies and their first tier suppliers will be analyzed by considering two basic dimensions of coordination: visibility and joint decision making. The methodology is based on 9 case studies: semi-structured interviews to Supply Chain managers of both brand owning companies and suppliers have been performed. This study provide an assessment of the actual coordination level in this supply chain and the identification of some relevant variables that influence both visibility and joint decision-making practices.
