The Distinguished Lecturer Program is one of the best initiatives of the IEEE Communications Society. It brings distinguished experts to give lectures at Chapters on all continents. It boosts ComSoc globalization by giving equal opportunities to all Chapters worldwide, since it allows students and professionals to attend open lectures given by world renowned experts in their city. It is a honor and a pleasure to serve as a Distinguished Lecturer. This was my fifth Distinguished Lecturer Tour (DLT) in Latin America. In the five years I served as a ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer, I visited 17 Chapters in 10 different countries of Latin America, some of them repeatedly.
