We present a 20 Gb/s return-to-zero differential quadrature phase-shift keying transmission over a 2000 km in a 33 GHz spaced 64-channel dense-WDM system. Successful transmission is demonstrated in a laboratory straight line, designed for standard intensity-modulated submarine systems.

Abstract
