Abstract

(Flexibility: a tool and an attitude for project success) Projects need to be managed efficiently, meeting the requirements given in terms of specifications, schedule, cost and quality. Furthermore they need to address the requirements of different stakeholders or interested parties. It will be argued that flexibility is the capability to face and to adapt to any change affecting a project, trying to address the interests of the project and the stakeholders. Flexibility, as behavioral and individual competence and as management approach, could became really useful above all in dynamic and unpredictable contexts, like those we are living now, when crucial decisions have to be taken based on limited or even unreliable information.
