It is hard to know where to place this book in traditional publishing categories. Strictly speaking, it is not a collection of essays or projects, nor a critical analysis of a particular aspect of contemporary Austrian architecture. Actually, it is a combination of all three. Six authors, architects in the role of critics, each propose a threesome of significant pieces of architecture from what could be described as “middle-of-the-road” professional production. Neither great names nor banal architecture; good quality design and construction in small projects, preceded by a critical essay that places the works within the current social and cultural dynamics.

Abstract
It is hard to know where to place this book in traditional publishing categories. Strictly speaking, it is not a collection of essays or projects, nor a critical analysis of a particular aspect of contemporary Austrian architecture. Actually, it is a combination of all three. Six authors, architects in the role of critics, each propose a threesome of significant pieces of architecture from what could be described as “middle-of-the-road” professional production. Neither great names nor banal architecture; good quality design and construction in small projects, preceded by a critical essay that places the works within the current social and cultural dynamics.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
