Abstract
This paper presents the results of a preliminary study aimed to investigate the lifetime performance, as well as the effects of a structural repair, of one of the most significant examples of the Italian postwar architecture. The building complex consists of reinforced concrete frame structures realized by using béton brut, that is concrete left unfinished or roughly-finished after pouring and left exposed visually. After many years of disrepair, such buildings are at present dismissed and in a state of severe damage, with extensive concrete spalling and steel corrosion.File in questo prodotto:
