The paper proposes and discusses a method, based on an application of the Park transformation, for measuring power and current components in three-phase systems under nonsinusoidal, asymmetrical and unbalanced conditions. After a brief recall of the theoretical concepts involved, the paper illustrates the main features of a measuring system, based on digital signal processing techniques, realized for measuring the defined components of power and currents. The results of measurements on a systemt hree-phase under various nonsinusoidal, symmetrical and unbalanced conditions are reported in order to give experimental support to the applied theory. Finally, the measurement accuracy and sensitivity are discussed.
