The paper introduces hybrid photovoltaic-wind-diesel generation systems supplying a remote power load considering the advantages of sustainable energy from the economic point of view. In particular, a cost investment valuation is performed on a real plant showing the effect of sustainable economical saving. The possibility to introduce a fuel cell generation device in a photovoltaic-wind existing plant for supplying Telecommunication apparatus is also investigated and the results are reported and discussed in the paper. Furthermore, starting from measured data, a control system is realized in order to verify the functionality of the plant.

Abstract

The paper introduces hybrid photovoltaic-wind-diesel generation systems supplying a remote power load considering the advantages of sustainable energy from the economic point of view. In particular, a cost investment valuation is performed on a real plant showing the effect of sustainable economical saving. The possibility to introduce a fuel cell generation device in a photovoltaic-wind existing plant for supplying Telecommunication apparatus is also investigated and the results are reported and discussed in the paper. Furthermore, starting from measured data, a control system is realized in order to verify the functionality of the plant.
