In this report the results of an experimental analysis on masonry models tested on shaking table are reported. In order to study the influence of the type of slab and its connection to vertical walls on the behaviour of the whole building, three models, on the scale 1:1,5, have been tested. They had the same geometry and materials, but different kind of slab . The seismic excitation has been reproduced by mean of a series of events of growing intensity up to values able to produce significant damage phenomena on the examined models. The evolution of structural damage has been studied with the help of a new technique which has proved effective for the assessment of damage produced in real structures by remarkable seismic events whose accelerometric records are available. Finally, structural parameters relevant for the application of Codes, such as the 'factor of structure', have been assessed and some design procedures usually used for these type of buildings have been checked.
