The inclusion of mineral admixtures, such as ground granulated blast furnace slag (BFS), silica fume, and fly ash, significantly affects concrete autogenous shrinkage. However, a universally applicable prediction model is still unavailable in the literature or standard codes. To address this issue, a new autogenous shrinkage database was established regarding the influence of mineral admixtures on the autogenous shrinkage of sealed cementitious composites, including concrete, mortar, and cement paste, containing a total of 739 shrinkage tests. Next, a new autogenous shrinkage model was proposed to account for the influence of mineral admixtures by using the equivalent water-to-binder ratio.

Abstract
The inclusion of mineral admixtures, such as ground granulated blast furnace slag (BFS), silica fume, and fly ash, significantly affects concrete autogenous shrinkage. However, a universally applicable prediction model is still unavailable in the literature or standard codes. To address this issue, a new autogenous shrinkage database was established regarding the influence of mineral admixtures on the autogenous shrinkage of sealed cementitious composites, including concrete, mortar, and cement paste, containing a total of 739 shrinkage tests. Next, a new autogenous shrinkage model was proposed to account for the influence of mineral admixtures by using the equivalent water-to-binder ratio.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
