This paper presents the formulation and sensitivity analysis of ground resonance stability in rotorcraft equipped with unconventional lead-lag damping configurations, including the inter-blade and the recently proposed inter-2-blade arrangements. The developed framework enables consistent linearization of the coupled rotor-airframe system and supports comparison of the stability performance of conventional and novel damper configurations.

Abstract

This paper presents the formulation and sensitivity analysis of ground resonance stability in rotorcraft equipped with unconventional lead-lag damping configurations, including the inter-blade and the recently proposed inter-2-blade arrangements. The developed framework enables consistent linearization of the coupled rotor-airframe system and supports comparison of the stability performance of conventional and novel damper configurations.
