Allestimenti Politecnici

Exhibition design is not merely what makes content visible, but what establishes the conditions for its comprehension. Starting from this perspective, the volume gathers a series of projects created for the Politecnico di Milano, reinterpreting them as milestones in a research process that traverses archives, exhibitions, and university spaces. Here, the exhibition is not just a final outcome, but a cognitive practice: a tool capable of interrogating materials, activating narratives, and bridging specialized knowledge with the public. What emerges is an open and evolving exhibition system, in which polytechnic culture manifests as an intersection of research, design, and society, finding in exhibition design a critical and operational device to tell its own story.

L’allestimento non è solo ciò che rende visibile un contenuto, ma ciò che ne costruisce le condizioni di leggibilità. A partire da questa prospettiva, il volume raccoglie una serie di progetti realizzati per il Politecnico di Milano, rileggendoli come tappe di una ricerca che attraversa archivi, mostre e spazi universitari. Qui l’esposizione non è solo esito, ma pratica conoscitiva: uno strumento capace di interrogare i materiali, attivare narrazioni e mettere in relazione saperi specialistici e pubblico. Ne emerge un sistema espositivo aperto e in divenire, in cui la cultura politecnica si manifesta come intreccio tra ricerca, progetto e società, trovando nell’allestimento un dispositivo critico e operativo per raccontarsi.
