Námestie Hill is a topography-responsive residential masterplan for Banská Bystrica, its name evoking both the hillside site and the city's historic main square. Rather than altering existing conditions, the design responds to microclimate and hydrological analysis: pedestrian pathways follow the natural slope, linking buildings through communal courtyards, while a lower-plot reservoir captures rainwater as both recreational space and flood mitigation. Residential buildings use a compact 12×12 metre module with duplex units and dedicated circulation cores, producing terraced volumes that follow the terrain. Mixed-use buildings extend this logic with active ground floors, sliding-panel galleries, and cross-ventilated apartments throughout.
