This masterplan for Banská Bystrica structures a gradual transition from private to public life through a continuous, terrain-responsive fabric. Shared courtyards, plazas, and contour-following pathways foster everyday social interaction, while a landscape amphitheatre carved into the slope forms the civic heart alongside a cultural hub, sports centre, and kindergarten. Family and co-living housing typologies offer flexible, dual-oriented units with private gardens and shared terraces, supported by active mixed-use ground floors. Water retention basins and green roofs embed environmental resilience, while concrete and timber façades reflect the city's urban and natural character. Phased development ensures the district is livable from the outset.
