As highlighted in the Documento di indirizzo per la qualità dei progetti di restauro, developed by SIRA in 2023, an effective method for calibrating restoration interventions requires the development of ex-ante knowledge to support risk assessment, as well as the definition of an ex-post plan capable of implementing a programmatic conservation strategy. The use of diagnostic techniques contributes to the calibration of the investigative method and to validate its application for specific construction technologies. The paper proposes a review of a method for monitoring the effectiveness of structural strengthening achieved through the injection of reinforcing mixtures, developed for masonry structures and individual monolithic structural elements. By considering two case studies, the authors were able to assess the effectiveness of the diagnostic techniques employed in constructing the knowledge pathway, both in the phase preceding the strengthening intervention and in the subsequent phase, with the aim of verifying its correct execution. The establishment of a correct preventive and programmatic conservation pathway was implemented using non-invasive techniques. Such tests can provide a valuable technical tool for monitoring the outcomes of consolidation through injections—results that depend on the homogeneity and continuity of penetration of the consolidating mixtures. Evaluating these aspects requires achieving a high level of reliability in the restitution of data useful for the structural assessment of the intervention.

Abstract
Evaluating these aspects requires achieving a high level of reliability in the restitution of data useful for the structural assessment of the intervention.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
