The response to the environmental crisis represents one of the main challenges of the mobility field. How should the mobility sector, related both to commuting transport and leisure travel, be reshaped in the contemporary era? Slow and electric mobilities can provide useful practices and technologies to tackle this complex issue. In particular, integrating slow mobility with electric vehicle supply equipment technologies (EVSE) appears as an interesting field of development. Starting from this perspective, the volume critically discusses the so-called slow e-mobility, which includes practices, systems, and technologies related mainly to pedal-assisted bicycles. The main topic of the work is then introduced by considering the recent cultural and academic debate. The book contributes to such reflections by offering a broad overview of the opportunities and risks of this innovative form of mobility, with specific attention to its spatial effects.
