Since the mid-20th century, the boundaries of production, residential, and exhibition spaces have blurred in Milan's cultural landscape, giving way to a fusion of spaces and times between industry and creativity, design and art. One example is the concentration of homes and ateliers/workshops designed by Faber, who, in this local context, experimented with new ways of living; private living and working spaces merge, interpenetrate, and intermingle, ultimately creating (micro)worlds with which the artist/designer/architect identifies and represents himself. They are therefore spaces for staging, as in the case of Casa & Atelier Fornasetti and AtelierFORTE, two paradigmatic examples of artists/artisans who, despite their vastly different sensibilities, poetics, and language, have dedicated their living spaces to a genuine cultural project.

Abstract
Since the mid-20th century, the boundaries of production, residential, and exhibition spaces have blurred in Milan's cultural landscape, giving way to a fusion of spaces and times between industry and creativity, design and art. One example is the concentration of homes and ateliers/workshops designed by Faber, who, in this local context, experimented with new ways of living; private living and working spaces merge, interpenetrate, and intermingle, ultimately creating (micro)worlds with which the artist/designer/architect identifies and represents himself. They are therefore spaces for staging, as in the case of Casa & Atelier Fornasetti and AtelierFORTE, two paradigmatic examples of artists/artisans who, despite their vastly different sensibilities, poetics, and language, have dedicated their living spaces to a genuine cultural project.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
