In various engineering applications, the openings in the plate structure of a vibro-acoustic coupled system have a crucial role for various functions. This paper explores the influence of sound source positioning inside an enclosure on the vibrational and acoustic responses of a vibrating plate with openings, which is used as a noise barrier in vibro-acoustic systems. We implement an analytical model based on the Rayleigh-Ritz method to estimate sound power in a free-field environment. The precision of our results is verified through experimental testing. Abstract

Our findings offer valuable insights into the behavior of vibro-acoustic systems and highlight their practical applications in engineering design.
