This contribution presents a selection of results obtained within the SAMOTHRACE ecosystem, specifically aimed at advancing the development of Silicon Carbide (SiC) detectors for applications in energy and timing measurements with radioactive ion beams. A particular focus is placed on the characterization of the time resolution performance of a 2×2 pixel SiC detector (1 cm2-100 μm thick). These results were achieved through a dedicated test, where a microchannel plate (MCP) detector was employed as a start timing reference, while the SiC detector served as the stop signal.

Abstract
This contribution presents a selection of results obtained within the SAMOTHRACE ecosystem, specifically aimed at advancing the development of Silicon Carbide (SiC) detectors for applications in energy and timing measurements with radioactive ion beams. A particular focus is placed on the characterization of the time resolution performance of a 2×2 pixel SiC detector (1 cm2-100 μm thick). These results were achieved through a dedicated test, where a microchannel plate (MCP) detector was employed as a start timing reference, while the SiC detector served as the stop signal.File in questo prodotto:
