This study addresses the sustainability challenges in the fashion-luxury sector by developing a Capability Maturity Model for Sustainable and Circular Practice Implementation (SCPI-CMM). Using a design science approach, over 300 capabilities were identified from a systematic literature review and structured into a conceptual framework based on the natural resource-based view. The SCPI-CMM defines five maturity levels validated through experts interviews, guiding organizations from “ad hoc” sustainability efforts to fully “optimized”, integrated practices. This model supports companies in evaluating and advancing their sustainability capabilities, fostering systemic transformation and strategic alignment across the supply chain.

Abstract
This study addresses the sustainability challenges in the fashion-luxury sector by developing a Capability Maturity Model for Sustainable and Circular Practice Implementation (SCPI-CMM). Using a design science approach, over 300 capabilities were identified from a systematic literature review and structured into a conceptual framework based on the natural resource-based view. The SCPI-CMM defines five maturity levels validated through experts interviews, guiding organizations from “ad hoc” sustainability efforts to fully “optimized”, integrated practices. This model supports companies in evaluating and advancing their sustainability capabilities, fostering systemic transformation and strategic alignment across the supply chain.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
