There exists a subtle boundary between what we recognize as gender discrimination and what we fail to perceive - too often mistaken for ‘normality’. This so-called normality is, in fact, exclusionary, shaped by a male-oriented worldview that defines only a narrow subset of individuals: white, heterosexual men conforming to a specific model of masculinity. It is precisely along this boundary that the chapter situates its inquiry, offering a contribution which, from the perspective of communication design, seeks to recombine data, coordinates, definitions, and case studies in an effort to outline a state of the art that opens new spaces for reflection, while underscoring the social urgency of gender inequalities in the workplace.
