Abstract

As designers, we have the task of creating the conditions to develop a sensitivity that focuses on the ability to exercise the gaze, to isolate clichés and stereotypes that consolidate disparities, and that allows us to achieve the awareness necessary to overcome fixity and prejudices. The forms of everyday communication expressed by widespread communication' become the object of study as they are organized starting from a division between the sexes that seems to fall, to quote Bourdieu, into the order of things: normal and natural becoming even non perceptible. They are artifacts that act under the threshold and that contribute perpetrating forms of inequality.
