The seismic emergency management of the network of bridges is one of the most complex topics in the field of structural engineering due to the high level of uncertainty associated with the demand posed by the future possible seismic events, and the capacity of the bridges. Moreover, the selection of the optimal emergency actions must be performed considering the financial constraints, which increases the computational burden considerably. Additional information about the demand provided by the ground motion sensors improves the knowledge about the managed system and thereby the decision-making process. The Value of Information (VoI) from Bayesian decision analysis is a tool to quantify the benefits gained from additional information. The quantification of such benefits requires the modeling of the seismic demand which affects the estimated Value of Information. In this study, the impact of the seismic source assumption and modelling on the Value of Information provided by ground motion seismic sensors is investigated.

Abstract
In this study, the impact of the seismic source assumption and modelling on the Value of Information provided by ground motion seismic sensors is investigated.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
