Abstract

Co-innovation and open innovation are approaches to innovation management that are designed to stimulate innovation in organizations. This study analyzes technical offline and online support tools that can aid co-innovation projects by identifying appropriate functionalities. A systematic literature review and analysis of co-innovation tools reveals a lack of support, particularly in the areas of (i) intellectual property management, (ii) compliance and legal management, (iii) planning and analysis management, and (iv) performance and monitoring management. Physical toolkits show advanced development in meeting the criteria, while software solutions lag behind. The findings highlight the need for comprehensive innovation support tools.
