We evaluate the increase in Raman gain from intermode-group stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in multi-mode fibers (MMFs). Experimental data demonstrate that Raman gain is proportional to a weighted average of total mode-group powers, as prescribed by SRS theory in fibers supporting multiple non-degenerate mode groups.

Abstract
We evaluate the increase in Raman gain from intermode-group stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in multi-mode fibers (MMFs). Experimental data demonstrate that Raman gain is proportional to a weighted average of total mode-group powers, as prescribed by SRS theory in fibers supporting multiple non-degenerate mode groups.File in questo prodotto:
