We develop a modular hardware and software framework for multi-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) applications, focusing on monitoring tasks in Precision Agriculture (PA). The hardware consists of a feet of multirotor UAVs and a ground control station, interconnected via a Wi-Fi mesh network. We validate the framework with a multi-UAV coverage mission for field monitoring, presenting results from both simulation and experiments in representative conditions. Additionally, we analyze the communication hardware, particularly range and potential failure scenario.

Abstract
We develop a modular hardware and software framework for multi-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) applications, focusing on monitoring tasks in Precision Agriculture (PA). The hardware consists of a feet of multirotor UAVs and a ground control station, interconnected via a Wi-Fi mesh network. We validate the framework with a multi-UAV coverage mission for field monitoring, presenting results from both simulation and experiments in representative conditions. Additionally, we analyze the communication hardware, particularly range and potential failure scenario.File in questo prodotto:
