Abstract
In Manhattan, the complex symptomatology of delirium is entirely present and, in addition to being a very specific New York pathology, delirious also turns out to be a term perfectly appropriate to its urbanistic model. 'Delirious' is that which goes beyond the imposed limits, that which exceeds the lirae established by the plan, and in this perspective New York is a true delirium, a radical departure from the groove. The solution to this social anxiety is entrusted by Rem Koolhaas to the artist Salvador Dali through the conscious exploitation of the unconscious. It carries with it the promise that by means of conceptual recycling, ever new generations of false events and artefactual realities can be created through the act of interpretation. And so this project conforms like a stage lined with screens, continuously projecting a patchwork of images and videos of those who have woven a bond with this architecture. Placed on the edge of Coney Island's Luna Park, it takes on all the delirium of the place and the city.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
