In the aftermath of a catastrophic event, the city (or even the entire Country) and the government must face a considerable problem: what to re-build and how to re-build. The purpose of the paper is to focus on the real difficulties that arise in the reconstruction phases in “today's times” in post war contexts, focusing on the local and traditional building techniques as Cultural Heritage: this implies facing the fact that, compared to the past, now many more parameters have to be respected, which are not only volumetric ones, or linked to the choices of construction techniques, or to a re-construction done in such a way as to have the image of what has been lost. It is now needed to deal with “more complex” issues, for which there was then no basis for this particular development, in Countries that most of the time are not aligned with certain parameters that world culture demands.

Abstract
In the aftermath of a catastrophic event, the city (or even the entire Country) and the government must face a considerable problem: what to re-build and how to re-build. The purpose of the paper is to focus on the real difficulties that arise in the reconstruction phases in “today's times” in post war contexts, focusing on the local and traditional building techniques as Cultural Heritage: this implies facing the fact that, compared to the past, now many more parameters have to be respected, which are not only volumetric ones, or linked to the choices of construction techniques, or to a re-construction done in such a way as to have the image of what has been lost. It is now needed to deal with “more complex” issues, for which there was then no basis for this particular development, in Countries that most of the time are not aligned with certain parameters that world culture demands.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
