FMCW radars have become popular for human–machine and machine–machine interfaces, which creates a demand for fast and linear chirp modulators implemented in low-cost CMOS technologies. This chapter summarizes recent advances in digitally intensive frequency synthesizers for mm-Wave FMCW radars and presents two mm-Wave prototypes implemented in 65-nm CMOS.
