The paper introduces an editorial service that collects various contributions from two research studies on urban agriculture (Bize_ur Farm and StRaME). The themes reported in the papers have many points in common, starting from the fact that they intercept the urban built environment, with its infrastructures (overpasses, disused buildings and railways...) and buildings with different functions. Both aim to identify its potential, with analyzes and mappings that start from the large scale of the city, to then define intervention strategies at the medium-small scale of the architectural object and its parts, roofs, blind facades, spaces of service that can contribute to creating a productive green infrastructure capable of improving the environmental and social aspects of the city.
