Emphasising the relationship between the scale of architecture and that of the landscape, while exploring the dialogue established by the design project between a specific, measurable site and the landscape understood as an extended dimension of open space at the anthropogeographical scale, constitutes a strategic premise for the proposed transformations. La Conca, an area adjoining the ancient Etruscan settlement of Perugia and characterised by its distinctive topography, lies within the medieval city walls. It was only in the early 1950s that the possibility of establishing a university campus on this site began to be considered. The campus subsequently took shape over approximately three decades through a series of significant restoration, adaptive reuse, and relocation interventions. Today, the design project offers an opportunity to reconsider the quality of public space within the overall layout of the university campus, seeking above all an appropriate response to the need for an open space capable of becoming its central unifying element.

Abstract
Today, the design project offers an opportunity to reconsider the quality of public space within the overall layout of the university campus, seeking above all an appropriate response to the need for an open space capable of becoming its central unifying element.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
