Motivated by the growing demand for more transparent, resilient, and sustainable supply chain models in the fashion and textile (F&T) industry, this study explores the potential applicability of short supply chains (SSCs) – characterized by geographical, relational, and informational proximity – to the fashion and textile (F&T) industry, which faces increasing scrutiny for its environmental and social impacts. Through empirical investigation, it examines the necessary adaptations for implementing SSCs in the F&T context and evaluates their comparative performance in terms of environmental, social, and economic sustainability relative to traditional supply chains.

Abstract
Motivated by the growing demand for more transparent, resilient, and sustainable supply chain models in the fashion and textile (F&T) industry, this study explores the potential applicability of short supply chains (SSCs) – characterized by geographical, relational, and informational proximity – to the fashion and textile (F&T) industry, which faces increasing scrutiny for its environmental and social impacts. Through empirical investigation, it examines the necessary adaptations for implementing SSCs in the F&T context and evaluates their comparative performance in terms of environmental, social, and economic sustainability relative to traditional supply chains.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
