Skin regeneration is characterized by prominent stimulation of angiogenesis, essential for providing oxygen and nutrients to the regenerated tissue and is based on the formation of functional microvascular networks. Currently, most of the strategies adopted for regenerating this tissue are lacking proper vascularization, thus limiting its effective therapeutic application. Tridimensional cell culture systems, additioned with growth factors are the most reliable in vitro models for studying this process. In parallel, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analyses can be used to successfully predict the parameters necessary for culturing cells under perfusion.

Abstract
Skin regeneration is characterized by prominent stimulation of angiogenesis, essential for providing oxygen and nutrients to the regenerated tissue and is based on the formation of functional microvascular networks. Currently, most of the strategies adopted for regenerating this tissue are lacking proper vascularization, thus limiting its effective therapeutic application. Tridimensional cell culture systems, additioned with growth factors are the most reliable in vitro models for studying this process. In parallel, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analyses can be used to successfully predict the parameters necessary for culturing cells under perfusion.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
