A wireless communication device comprising an array (110) of reflective elements (111) adapted to reflect an incident electromagnetic wave (130), and a control unit (120) operatively connected to each reflective element of the array in order to space- time modulating the incident electromagnetic wave to transmit additional information with the reflected electromagnetic wave (140). The control unit is configured to control each reflective element in order to introduce, in the incident electromagnetic wave that hits the reflective element, a phase shift which depends (i) on the additional information to be transmitted, (ii) on the incident angles Θi and Φi formed between the plane on which the array rests and the incident electromagnetic wave, (iii) on the reflection angle Θr and Φr formed between the plane on which the array rests and the reflected electromagnetic wave, and (iv) on the space distance between the reflective elements.

Abstract
