Abstract

The volume aims at reporting the investigation developed within the Open Atelier project (CREA-CULT-2021-COOP-2) around the ongoing evolution of participatory practices in museums and cultural institutions. Through the critical analysis of the scenario outlined by the mapping of innovative case studies, the publication explores the ways spaces, collections, comunication strategies, and training activities are being re-designed in order to engage contemporary audiences in the way heritage is interpreted, disseminated, and activated.
