Cerebral palsy (CP) is a neuromotor disorder affecting children, often resulting in crouch gait that increases walking energy costs and leads to ambulatory decline. Wearable exoskeletons for children, such as Agilik, may improve gait function in children with CP. Agilik is a customized, wearable, motorized exoskeleton that can assist or resist movements at each gait phase. This study aims to preliminary demonstrate the clinical relevance of Agilik through a pre-post single group study on CP patients. Pilot results from three children with CP showed that, after 10 training sessions, one patient improved in lower limb joint gait patterns, while the other two improved in endurance and speed. Some gains in static balance were observed. These findings indicate promising potential for the rehabilitation of children with CP.
