The paper presents a course titled “ICT for Control Systems Engineering”, started this year at the Politecnico di Milano and based on preliminary experiences described in previous works. The main goal of this newly designed course is to fill a gap between methodological control education and the typical content of control technology courses. After a discussion about the said gap, the mentioned preliminary experience and the reasons why the result of the above was the presented course, its pedagogical objectives and contents are illustrated. Software support for the course is also described in its present state, that is expected to evolve along future editions.
