This paper presents a state-of-the-art review of decision-making methodologies for the end-of-life management in consumer products and industrial assets domains, traditionally studied separately. The findings anticipate substantial benefits in uniting these domains, identifying best practices, and learning opportunities. This is the first step of a wider research project whose overall aim is to identify synergies, opportunities, and cross-domain learning to enhance sustainable and efficient end-of-life practices. Future steps will deepen the comparison of end-of-life decision-making methodologies and empirically investigate industry needs and challenges in end-of-life management practices or absence thereof.

Abstract
This paper presents a state-of-the-art review of decision-making methodologies for the end-of-life management in consumer products and industrial assets domains, traditionally studied separately. The findings anticipate substantial benefits in uniting these domains, identifying best practices, and learning opportunities. This is the first step of a wider research project whose overall aim is to identify synergies, opportunities, and cross-domain learning to enhance sustainable and efficient end-of-life practices. Future steps will deepen the comparison of end-of-life decision-making methodologies and empirically investigate industry needs and challenges in end-of-life management practices or absence thereof.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
